BARRE CLASS

Looking for a fun and challenging workout that creates long lean muscles without adding bulk? Welcome to Barre!

Barre is a ballet-inspired class combining body weight movements, hand weights, resistance bands, yoga stretching and controlled breathing. Barre is safe to practice daily and will help you strengthen and tone your body AND your mind while developing graceful balance and overall vitality.  Great for all fitness levels, barre is a low-impact 60 or 75-minute class with great music to get you moving!

At Hartford Sweat, we require barre “sticky socks” for class to enhance your experience with precision, technique, safety and hygiene.  Sticky socks are available for purchase at the studio ($15 +tax).

BARRE SCULPT 75!

In this class, take our traditional Barre class of body weight movements, hand weights, resistance bands, yoga stretching and controlled breathing and add that extra OOMPH to really get your body strong and lean.
In Barre Sculpt, you can expect to safely warm up, strengthen and tone your body, feel the burn of extra weights and core work.  This low-impact (yet challenging) 75-minute class is great for anyone looking to take their barre practice and strength routine to the next level.  Class is set to upbeat music that’ll get you feeling strong, confident, toned and full of vitality!

BARRE SWEAT 75!

In this class, we add on to our traditional Barre class of body weight movements, hand weights, resistance bands, yoga stretching and controlled breathing by adding upbeat cardio work to elevate your heart rate, burn calories and, of course, drop some sweat!
In Barre Sweat, you can expect to warm up your muscles and joints safely, get your cardio work in, strengthen and tone your entire body AND enjoy the barre work that you’ve come to love.  Great for anyone looking to add calorie-burning cardio work to their barre practice for a one-two punch, Barre Sweat 75 is a low-impact 75-minute class with great music to get you feeling strong, confident, alive and full of vitality.

BARRE+SOUL 75

Ready to put a little extra heart, soul and SWEAT into your barre practice?  Join us for Barre+Soul 75!  Here, we’ve combined your favorite barre movements and exercises with the grounding, powerful flows of your vinyasa yoga practice to give you an empowering experience (both on the barre and your mat)!  This fun and challenging class targets all your favorite areas: ABS, GLUTES, THIGHS & CORE while connecting your mind, body and soul with dynamic sequences of movement through yoga postures.  Barre+Soul is set to the beats of music that will power you through every minute of class; adding variety and playful, body-toning, sweat-dropping yoga to your beloved barre workout routine.
