Why do you practice?

    Overall, an easy answer to this question would be, I practice because it makes me feel GREAT. But to be honest, every time I step onto my mat, I practice for a different reason. Some days it’s simply to get my heart pumping and my blood flowing. Some days it’s to find mental clarity, if I find I’ve been having a hard time focusing. Some days, it’s for emotional healing. Other days, it’s to tap deeply within myself and learn something new about myself, or my life. And that’s one of the many reasons why I have such a deep love for yoga – depending on where you are at any given day in your life (mentally, physically, and emotionally), your practice is always there for you, in whatever way you need it.

    What can a student expect from your class?

    You can expect to pay super duper attention to your breath. You can expect to really FEEL your body, and how it moves, and to really FEEL what you are feeling, on the emotional and the energetic level. You can expect to explore what you and your body are capable of. You can expect to ENJOY YOURSELF and laugh, maybe even rock out to some fun jams. And, you can expect that at some point during class I will confuse my right from my left.

    What do you love about Hartford Sweat?

    I love the vibe, the feeling, that I get from Hartford Sweat, and the Hartford Sweat team. You know when something just feels GOOD – feels uplifting, joyful, it makes you smile, and you can’t even quite pinpoint exactly why that is, you just know that it is?! That’s how Hartford Sweat makes me feel. And that’s definitely a place I want to be. That’s definitely something I want to be a part of.
