Where did your yoga practice begin?
My yoga practice began before I ever stepped onto the mat. I was initially drawn to meditation and practiced this for several years before discovering yoga. Now that I have delved deeper into my yoga practice, I realize the importance of having a strong base in meditation. It is the simplest and most effective way to access the calm inner awareness that is the ultimate goal of practice.
Why are you a yoga teacher?
I became a yoga teacher to share the gifts that this practice has given me. Not only has yoga helped to heal me physically and live pain free, it has also given me a way to always find my center.
What do you love about Hartford Sweat?
I love the sense of community that the studio is creating downtown. Yoga is great at bringing people together and I think Hartford Sweat is exactly what the downtown area needs!
